Kieth,

I took the main  thread off facebook because Karen Parks posted Danielle's phone number to the public  thread and she was threatening and trying to intimidate people who wanted to help. Since we had our *buy* and transfer time in place, we removed the thread so Karen would not have a platform. I do have the messages, though, between karen and myself, on my facebook page. As I previously mentioned, once she said she was going to put it out there, there was no reason for me to keep it private. I dont know WHY she would want to do that, as it is not, shall we say , flattering to her, in the least.

Marjorie,

You are a passionate person and anyone who reads your passion for rescue can see your heart is in the right place.  But the fact of the matter is if anyone placed this dog and her puppies in harms way in this situation it was you.

Consider taking this unfortunate outcome and educating yourself on the rules and laws for dogs deemed to be in danger.  Also review your access to resources, immediate and otherwise and how you can make organized, decisive responses to dire situations without clouding the issue with emotional confusion and unknown variables.

I am still trying to track down the other pups from the other litter where they were being displayed by being held up by their necks and 3 mos of age!  KP blew that one, as well. She said AC was going ot take those as well, yet the owners text us asking why we didnt show up for them.

Marjorie,

I am so sorry you couldn't help these little one's. And the poor momma dog. It is a pitiful situation. Your pain is obvious in that your efforts were obliterated by this person. If there is a link, you should post it. There is still a chance people will find what you need them to see, if you do.

Ok, if you say so. Had a plan, got people to remove the dogs, got the money for the rescue fronted, and pick up was in place. No more needs to be said. If you feel it is MY fault, you are entitled to your opinion and I will not get into this with you.

All of what you did could have been done through PMs, e-mails and phone calls.

While those avenues might have been utilized all of this was also splashed all over two very public social media sites, with phone numbers, locations and identifying information that anyone could see and get back to the owner of the bitch and her pups.  Also it allowed for people who, again perhaps well meaning, beliving they were doing the right thing, getting in touch with people outside your plan and further complicating the matter.

Blaming the rules of this forum for what has happened is unfair on your part.   It is a sad situation but it was mishandled from the start and that is on you.

RLHAR, not for nothin', but marjorie didn't start this thread, so if you're saying things were 'mishandled' from the start, you really can't lay that at her doorstep. [Edited to add: I'm not saying that Bhaugh 'mishandled' things by starting this thread, either--had she not posted the ad, nobody save for her would have even known about this situation. Maybe it might be best to proceed a bit differently in future instances, but hindsight is always 20/20.]

As for me, I haven't lost faith just yet. I reached out to try and get some help for this poor girl on the day the thread started...right now, we don't really know what transpired save for the fact that the person who had the dog now claims he gave her and the pup[s] away. Maybe, maybe not. Maybe animal control, or a legitimate rescue group, DID get involved...we may never know, but I hope that something to that effect is why the dog is no longer available from the person who posted the photo of her and her babies.

RLHAR- I think you are way out of line to put the blame for this plan going south on Marjorie, her love for the entire breed is very clear. Even to "try" to make her feel some sort of guilt in this instance, is just flat out wrong.
There were probably just too many good intentioned people working this.
And Marjorie, don't let them mis-spoken words get to you. You are a wonderful person and you do great things for so many dogs.
You were a main player in getting this rescue forum going. Now you need to stay here,
"And man your post, woman".

You can think as you wish KitKat but I stand by what I say.   In this instance, the public posting of phone numbers, locations and plans how to get the dog away from the owner, etc made things more chaotic and confused as more and more people jumped into to stir the pot and wires got crossed.

Marjorie's then blaming the admins for having to enforce TOS rules and saying they made things worse is also unfair and more than a little ridiculous.
