Any one know why she placed back so far? A bitch that she beat last year won. Just wondering.

She placed VA8. Is that really "back so far"? Maybe her conditioning was not as good as the winning bitch. Maybe the other bitch developed better over the past year. There are just so many factors that can be considered. And there's always the fact that on some days, some dogs just don't show their best. I say VA8 is quite the accomplishment in itself. Congrats to her owner and handling team!

The first 100 dogs in Germany are superb dogs that can be within top 3 individually anywhere in the world. To be in the top 50 is an accomplishment in itself. To be VA, regardless of 1st or 2nd, is a rare feat to achieve. Only a few are able to achieve this and are far in between years before obtaining it. You have to see the SV sieger show at least once to understand it. These are the creme de la creme all over the World. It is like asking why Charlize Theron is not the Miss Universe.
