@apple. He has excellent food drive. The issue is the nipping during heeling not the exercises. I trained with food for each exercise sit, platz etc. since the ball was too much for him think about what he was doing. Your still withholding a reward food or ball too long without reward nip nip nip.
Today was great again, heeled longer today no nip but did nip after the about turn nip verbal no stop down walk away few min to clear his head. No nipping the rest of the session. Will take lots of reps which is fine no hurry.

@koots doesn’t matter what I use a stick, tug, a diff type of toy etc he is insane for all of them. It’s a great thing but issues can arise with a high prey high drive high food any toy motivated dog.

Sounds like he is getting the message with a little 'time out'. Hope it works consistently for you, as this approach avoids conflict. :)
