I have a Neapolitan Mastiff, 11 months old, that unfortunately must have tied with the neighbors German shepherd after he snuck into our fence!  I noticed her nipples were becoming larger... Oh no!  I reliezed she was going to have puppies.  I did NOT intent for her breed until she was closer to 3yrs & more developed.  Damage done so we planned to keep one pup (get it spayed/neutered) give the other away to good home as long as they also made sure the pups were fixed.  This is the first female dog I have owned that was not spayed.  She started to whelp less than a week after we reliezed she was having puppies.  Right away I started to google & read all info I could, so I could be more prepared for whelping; being a newbie at this.  We prepared the bath tub in our bedroom to be nice & comfy for her and it is the quietest place in our home.  She seemed to do wonderful.  Minimum 'hard' labor, just a few minutes & we had the first pup; placenta delivered with pup.  The puppy was 1.9 ozs. Her instincts took over & she was a natural mother right away.  At this point no more contractions.  After 6 hours of waiting she had no more contractions, no digging, pushing, or whining as she did with 1st pup delivery.  NO more puppies born.  She was happy not long after whelping.  Outside to pee (with us in tow just in case), a bit frisky running a little, drinking water, mothering pup, tail wagging, etc.  I thought maybe she was just very young & only one egg may have dropped.  2 1/2 days after the pup was born the dam stopped eating {she LOVES to eat} and taking minimal water but not dehydrated & NO fever.  I noticed as I walked her outside that she was trying to pee multiple times with just drops coming out. I thought very odd, but she just gave birth so  who knows how she is feeling. Then at 2:30 am she started whining & digging at her bed. I thought oh no what is this now!?!  She came into the bedroom & layer on the floor to deliver a stillborn pup, a bit larger than the 1st (still doing very well). The planceta emerged shortly after.  VERY foul odor!  We cleaned her up & she returned to the whelping bed we made her & wanted her {live} pup back.  She rested & I could tell she felt so much better.  This morning her stomach looks back to normal.  Eating & drinking like a horse again.  She seems completely normal again.  I don't know what to do.  Ideally I would rush her straight to the vet, however that's not really an option at the moment as my husbands shop where he built furniture closed up and bolted town without paying him.  We are broke & I'm terrified something bad will happen to my Neapolitan mastiff because I am new to this & don't know what to do.  Please advise.  Thank you.

Thank you all for your replies. I am currently working to get her into a vet, as live in a very small town & that can be difficult. Rest assured we WILL get her into the vet! No matter what we have to sacrifice to do so! We love our pet as much as our children. I just needed any expenerice pd advice can get. Again THANK YOU for your quick replies. Thank goodness we were able to get her a vet appointment today. Just that bring such a sense of relief.

I 'hope' and PRAY that all works out. THE WORST thing for her is dead puppies inside of her! I live in a small town too, 3.000 people in 60 square miles. Fortunately I do have the choice of several vets in any direction. I just have to drive through snowy mountains to get there. It is VERY nerve racking whelping a litter even when you have experience behind you! My thoughts are with you as well as prayers
