this thread is about shoulder, gait and conformation...........
dingo was mentioned previously and the video was linked to him........
all I did was to post a photo so others can see what he looked like more easily.......

it was mentioned that that the ASL's have an upright forearm and low and behold so does Dingo.....
yes all of this was mentioned early on in the thread.....sorry for being late in posting......

Could be I just read your comment wrong (about Dingo not looking like today's Siegers).  No harm no foul on either side, either way.

I wish I could find some pictures of Korry Waldesruh in motion...that's a dog I wish I could have seen (I'm too young to have been able to see him in anything but pictures).

Have you asked his owners or handlers.......they may have saved something.

I don't think they're still around, actually.

Sitasmom, I was thinking the same thing  about Dingo. The change is astonishing.

I've always been interested in how the breed has evolved in the US. I'm basically an AKC person, had a different breed when I got into this nutty hobby. The vet I worked for had a GSD from imported lines bred by Kragspoint (AKC judge Harlan Gibbs). I absolutely adored that dog and he adored me; I promised myself that one day I would have a GSD.  His call name was Blitz.

The GSD's that hooked me on the breed were Ch.Covy Tucker Hill 's Manhattan and Ch Lakeside's Gilligan's Island. I had no clue that there were imports and there were Am breds. I thought they were all the same LOL.  Manhattan was bigger than life, that dog had a personality that just begged for a win. I was at Westminster when he went BIS, the only GSD to ever do that. He was owned by Mrs. Firestone and handled by Jimmie Moses. Jimmie and Hatter traveled to shows in a private plane owned by Firestone. We should all be so lucky as that darned dog.

Sorry, I don't mean to hijack this thread and will start another on the evolution of the GSD in the US if there is any interest.

I love Hatter, and wish I could have met him as well.

I was only a year and a half old when he went BIS at Westminster.

MVF is a member on PDB, I don't remember the real name but that is his neck name here. He made a nice comment on Tucker's pedigree here.
