Hope these help out, I really appreciate the answers.

I was guessing Pit, because of the coloration, both and his brother have almost duplicate color schemes to some Pit pups I saw online, and I thought the ears were similar. And yes the hair is wiry/rough. They don't have a very wide stance. They were purchased for $5 from a drifter who could no longer care for the pups, so the weight probably won't seem right, both have a vet appt on Thurs the 28th to get shots and checked out. Intelligent dog too, never had a dog before but it only took 2 tries to teach him to sit on command, and to come to me.

Its not too easy cos there is  still very little in the pix
you can judge his size against;  but that matters less in a
very young puppy anyway.  Age ?  Weight ?
Definitely some  kind(s) of terrier.  Don't see any hound yet.

I see Jack Russell but then again, his feet are awfully big for that breed. Maybe lab and pit and border collie and jack russell.  Who knows,  he is certainly a little cutie though. Give him a giant hug from me.

The head is all wrong for a pit, the eyes are not shaped right, the nose is already long and rather narrow. Eyes should be more almond shaped not as round. I think hound/smooth coated Border collie or lab something. He does have a skinny little whip tail. And he's got pretty dainty feet.  Regardless he's cute.

Yeah, with the new pics, I can get an idea of his size from the handle on the recliner & what looks like a nebulizer alongside it in the first photo--I'm thinking Jack Russell-mix sort of fellow. He looks alot like my friend's old girl dog who predates the pit bull popularity in this neck of the woods...she's most likely some variation on a Beagle/Feist/unnamed hound blending.  I do not see any pit to his head, either, 'fry, and I'll co-sign on the cuteness.

Dhuspree, he looks like he's at a good weight; the fella who had them before may well have fed them before feeding himself, actually not an uncommon habit for the homeless who keep a pet.

The head is not wrong for a pit, not at all , esoecially game bred pits. Old lines. But it doesnt matter trying to look at a pup and guess what it is is impossible.

These are pictures of his brother Sam, he is approx 7-8 weeks old and weighs 7.5 lbs. The Vet thought he might be a Labrador/bully mix

Again, hips and shoulders don't look bullish.
