I have not been able to find any lisitng of pembroke corgi breeders that do not dock the tails, I used to won one that had its tail docked, I realize its the breed standard to dock the tails, but I prefer to have one with its tail intact as I won't be using it for show purposes and I dont herd sheep/cattle, any help of where I may find a list or if anyone can refer tme to a breeder anywhere in the U.S> would be much appreciated :)

There are a few members that do have Pembrokes they may see your request.

One of the things you may need to do is find a breeder with a litter due and pay in full for a pup so that they won't dock the tail for you. Be sure to get the sales in writing and any other contract to cover you in the event the puppy does not make to your hands.

Okay, thank you for that advice, that's a valid consideration.

I know that RJ Corgis in Zumbrota, MN will leave tails on if requested. I believe they test for DM as well, but other than that I don't know if they are what would be termed a good breeder as I have never done business with them.

LOVE THY SHEPHERD , well yes the Cardigans certainly do. but pumphreb was asking about Pembrokes with undocked tails.

-though I couldn't tell from the post if was pumpherb referring to long tailed Pembroke Corgis, or also to the naturally born bobtails.
