Hello brudo,
First off, I do not have the answer to your question. I just cannot remember anything about this but since you have not received one response out of the 673 people that have read your thread I would be happy to at least try and get some info for you or at least point you in the right direction.  I will try and find out something this week if I can.

My confusion is that as someone  new to this site, why is there no activity here?  It is quite obvious that no one is interested in answering or responding to questions.  This seems to defeat the purpose of having a forum.  Is there no real interest in Rotts any more?   Are they  a dog of the past, with no real love for this breed any longer?

I know when I was into this breed they were becoming popular in the U.S. and this seemed to lead to there downfall, however there were still many good old time breeders around that loved and protected the stronger bloodlines.  However, as I look at  this message board it appears there is no real interest left,  no real enthusiasm.  This is sad to me as they were once a terrific breed.  Intellegent,  strong, courageous,  loyal, great with family , incredibly hard bites and lived up to  the truest sense of the term " working dog ".

Why are their tails no longer docked?  Have the animal activists ruined this fine breed?

brudo, I hope to get back to you soon. Thanks

Brudo,
If you just do a google search under Rottweilers, Pink lips, you will get a variety of Kennels and coments on Pink lips. There is a forum on that page that also addresses this issue. If it were me, I would get in touch with one of the breeders on that page and explain your concern to them.  It seems there are some different ideas about this. For example, are you talking about pink lips or mouth?  I cannot give you the answers to your questions but I am sure a reputable breeder, probably one that is at least some what involved in showing can help you. Good luck.
O.S.

If your dog has a pink mouth this is a beauty fault that will not go away. IF you care about your dog love and care for him and you should have a good companion dog.

Hey, Pink Gums can come from a number of things , First genes you can find some of the older dogs pictures with pink gums. Other reasons stress from working, reaction to some shots, and to close of a breeding .IF this will help you
