Here's the thread I started about my rescue's tattoo. Of all the people I contacted, Yvonne Hecht was the most helpful.

I second that, Sunsilver. She always is, especially when it comes to rescues. Yvonne's a treasure, in general and in regard to her reference collection.

God bless you for saving this beautiful old dog. Try calling AKC Foreign Registration department. If they can't match the tattoo to a foreign reg., they can probably id him with a $29. DNA kit. Sure would be stisfying to find out who he is and what his story is,
