i will have a go at it, toatlly novice critique here;

nice expression, good eye color and ear set, forearms a bit short.

coat excellent and overall picture of healthy, happy  dog

dog is shallow in the chest

wither is flat

rear end seems strong with strong pasterns, overall compact strong rear end assembly.

i have no idea what i am talking about.

Beautiful girl, I don't see anything unpleasant in her structure, she is in growing age, her head at the moment is a bit big for her Teeth Smile, she will grow up into it soon. Beautiful girl

Other than these two points

dog is shallow in the chest

wither is flat

I second Vk

<refer to vk4gsds' critique of the lovely longcoated black pup pictured above, a reasonable commentary that shows a serious effort to analyze the dog's structure, honest but without harshness, and which is then followed by the closing sentence below>

"i have no idea what i am talking about."

see, vk4gsds, just when you've managed a run of being rather obnoxious in various threads, you redeem yourself by dropping the argumentive buffoon guise and show a glimpse of who you really are...and it's a fairly decent fellow with a good eye for functional structure, who sometimes forgets that his mother DID teach him to make use of his internal filters and be polite when participating in civilization.

Careful, you might start finding it hard to get a rise out of folks for your entertainment...Wink Smile

Thank you vk,Ibrahim, hexe, and jenni. Her head is still pretty big lol. I can't wait to see her around 3.

I appreciate the honesty and no fighting. :-)

While this is much better, she is still, I suspect, a bit nicer than this stack shows. She seems to be artifically camped out a bit, ie, her front feet should be more under her, just a hair. I think she'll even out in a year and be really nice. SO hard to get good pics let alone critique of a black dog...and her being coated makes it even harder.

She doesn't like to be stacked and i'm still learning how to stack. Red Smile    I can catch her in a natural stance sometimes. I was keeping her freezbie from her in this picture. Any advice is amazing. I'm trying to figure out how to get involved with Dog sports. We go for our CGC in two weeks. Its our doorway into so many things i have planned for us.

Thank you again. Hopefully i'll get another better picture of her.

Get someone who knows what they're doing to help you. To get that picture of Eska took 3 people: one to stack her, one to get her attention with a treat, and a third to snap pictures. Even then, that was the best picture out of at least 15!

The most common mistake people make is to point the camera down at the dog. You need to be on the same level as the dog to properly show its structure. (But of course, I can see from the photos that you know that already...)

I think her withers are fine. My one criticism would be the toes on her front feet could be more arched. They are a little bit flat, and her pastern is a bit long. Not a serious fault by any means, though!  I think her head is nice, and she has nice triangular ears. It's obvious she is still growing and developing, but I think she's going to be a very nice looking girl!

They aren't stacked pictures but I had to share the good news.

She received her CGC this past saturday. Our very first "title" and my very first attempt.
