| German Shepherd Dog | V Nike vom Haus Dexel SchH3 IPO3 RH1 FH1 | First off; Congratulations to the new owner and credit to him on 'daring' to import a German Shepherd into India, only to have hostile 'comments' (as is the norm in that country it seems). Secondly, to all those who seem to think that every day is a show day and that each dog that sets foot in India must be compared to the last etc... YOU HAVE MISSED THE PLOT!!! Importing dogs and especially males is not ONLY about the show (notwithstanding, it seems this male has more then enough show and working credentials when you consider his SchH3,IPO3,FH1,RH1,kkl1 and normal HD/ED status), but also what he has to offer in the gene pool of that country. It is more of a concern when I think that most people come up with shallow comments about a male with so much under his belt, will have females, that have no HD/ED score (probably have the symprtoms of both), certainly never presented in a European show, have no working qualifications, and probably run for miles if one was to so much as stamp their foot near them!! Rather then complain and be armchair judges, why not try to breed a dog half as good in all departments as the one just imported you thankless bunch of loosers!!! To the person claiming the male is oversize; some news for him/her. Most males and many VA's over the years have been so in Germany and everyone knows who they are but still many people including many from India have rushed to buy pups from these males in the past. Stop being so short sighted and see if there are many females of equal quality worthy to be mated to males of this quality in India. .... | 13.7 years ago |

| German Shepherd Dog | VA1(S) V11 Bob von der Grafenburg SCHH3 | Gentlemen (assuming there are no ladys on this board); I dont want to comment on the old owner or the new owner of Bob with regards to who is better suited and whether there are moneys owed...as these are clearly issues that belong to them and them alone. Notwithstanding, it is apt to point out that I have met the new owner; during the time I was in India and ofcourse I have known Abdullah for many years! I wouldnt think of either of them as "cheats" as has been sugested and both are adults who can resolve their own issues - thats if there are any issues at all!! I will take a stand though as far as the imported dogs which return back to Europe. In that I know only too well that Abdullah never,ever leased or borrowed dogs only to compete in India!! And the dogs which returned to Europe after he purchased them (that included Quando) was mostly due several requests from the European sides wanting the dogs to either be re-presented at shows or breeding or both and always the dogs returned to India!! All of his dogs have been in India at different times and yet long enough to allow them to have some impressive numbers of progeny and a decisive input in many-a-breeders breeding programes. It is due to these specifics dogs' merit that such requests (to go back to Europe) would be born in the first place...May the day come that more of the dogs that are imported into India are subsequently requested to return in order to give their genetic trates to European breeders too. But they have to be good enough! Rather, though lets see some Indian bred dogs take this giant step and lets see some of these people who proclaim to be the protagonists in Indian Bred; prepare their dogs in all aspects of the European competition requirements and then compete at the top level in Europe. My hat goes off to anyone in India who has the courage of their convictions to gather a team of friends and further INVEST large sums of money only to be hen-pecked by a crowd who doesn't understand all the intricacies of this sport. And whilst people may say that I am saying all this as I am good friends with Abdullah and so will always stand up for him; I can say that infact our relationship is not as close as what it used to be...BUT the issue was NOT dogs rather a PRIVATE matter. .... | 14.1 years ago |
