PS When we sold our house, we kept the dogs with us, and either took them out with us during the showings or put them in their crates. No problems whatsoever, so I'm always confused when people say they have to get rid of the dog to sell the house.

Opal, in the 100 posts that this thread turned into (never expected THAT), you may have missed where I said that there was a lot more to the story. A LOT. It was kind of a no-fault situation. Not the dog's fault...not the owners. No way to predict what life will throw you sometimes.
