Ebor didn't have an off day. Marcus made a bad catch,. nothing more nothing less.
If you don't decoy, you can't say anything? If you weren't there (competing or observing?) you can't say anything?
The compilation video that Marcus posted is impressive, nice work but it doesn't change the fact that Ebor got a bad presentation/catch and it likely cost him the Championship. Ivan and Ebor will be back and I'm sure Marcus will continue to decoy the big events.

Anybody can order it from Shellshots. If someone has, they can post it.
Beyond that, there is no "argument" that needs settled.
Regardless of whether a dog or the helper "screwed up" the long bite is a dance that can and does occasionally go very wrong. And, points are lost regardless.
It is not up to the helper to "adjust" his presentation to each individual dog; it is up to the dog to target what is presented and Ebor had the same presentation as every other dog.
It was only after his (the dog's) unfortunate poor approach and timing that things got very awkward as Marcus tried to adjust on a very fast approach. A less athletic helper could very easily have injured the dog but nonetheless Marcus STILL got him on the sleeve which Ebor was unable to maintain.
Any of us who trial regularly understand and it can be HUGELY disappointing initially; but, in the end analysis, we all accept that its part of the game.
Now, if you or Thomas prefer to take the discussion into something more nefarious so those who have not competed regularly may be swayed, then have at it....
I am clearly not very bright for having engaged this far....

And, no, Bubba, it is not up to the helper to "adjust" for every dog in this case coming down to him IF that is even safely possible with Ebor's speed.
It is up to the dog to target and come UP (in this case) to the sleeve. The helper THEN proverbially gets "out of the way" either sleeve or stick side that the dog is safely caught and not jammed up.
And, if there is a big "screw up," misread, or odd approach, the helper may leave his feet and absorb the impact center mass to save the dog.
Some dogs even with speed are consistent and easy to catch. It is these unexpected types of approaches (with speed) and a dog that comes out of it unscathed that define to me a great helper.
And, Marcus IS a GREAT helper all of your nonsense, and very layman "analysis" aside.
Geez, man; where do you trial that you have these (other) perceptions and/or this nefarious desire to constantly assign blame?
The answer to BOTH of those rhetorical questions is clear; you don't (trial) and hate without introspection or perspective anything associated with the USCA.
You have made the latter point abundantly clear and you will no doubt "yammer" on the point ad nauseum again....

If YOU are so interested in seeing a specific video ORDER IT from the videographer. I doubt you will because that might end your usual and tedious anti- USCA ranting.
