I bought a puppy out of Kung Fu Po and Tabitha from Underground kennels out of Broken Arrow, OK.  He was diagnosed with Bilateral Hip AND Elbow Dysplasia at 7 months old.  Do not buy a dog out of either of the parents as the breeder says that they have "never had this happen before", which I find hard to believe. I plan to keep my pup and do what ever it takes to give him a good life but this breeder seems to be clueless.

So did the breeder offer to compensate you?

by Bluesmom on 23 August 2014 - 01:08

I asked for my money back but was told I could have another puppy of the same sex and breed. Why would I want another puppy from the same person who sold me a genetically defective puppy?

Maybe some research could have revealed the status of the parents hips and elbows. Were they certified? What does the contract say?

Was the pup spayed or neutered?  If so, at what age?

What does your contract say?

Any breeders can sometimes end up with a pup with bad joints, it is what they do to try and rectify the problem that makes them good or bad.

You said the breeder offered you a pup same sex and Breed. How many "breeds" does the breeder breed?

My gosh, the sire to that pup is so inberd, he's his own grandfather. The poor bitch looks like she suffering. To op, what prompted you to get a pup from this breeding?
