curios to opinions-

defending equipment or object guarding touching defensive drives    vs   personal defense of well being of dog????

this may simply be a grey area within terminology but i would like to ask our experienced decoys / trainers how they would explain the 2????

is defending an object, resource, or territory truly taping into defense in agitation? or simply pushing a high prey dog into fight to defend what he hold dear?

or do you feel it must be protecting personal "wellbeing" in agitation to tap into defense?

I know many trainers define this differently and am curious to the different opinions on the matter???

since the word "defend" can be used in many facits and i think many people use fairly cavalier.

Or my biggest question-   is it how the decoy approaches either scenario to tap into either drive(prey, defense to keep it simple) for desired result for that particular training scenario?

I hope thats clear as sometimes it hard to convey.
