And bz, for FWIW to you from a showline person, I think it's great that you daughter is training and showing her own dog. I know she will accomplish her goal. I love to see junior handlers in the dog world; it doesn't matter which venues they choose. Years ago my daughter wanted her own AKC dog. I took back a puppy for a stud fee, gave her the dog and I think training and showing that dog taught her a lot more than I ever could have.

To be fair how many people want to break their dog just to see where its breaking point is as a breed test. never happen.

It,s post like the one above that show your true lack of depth in dog experience. There is a big difference between tracking and S&R work. I was like you years ago i trained with a group that did both Schutzhund and S&R work and i always thought "Why are we wasting time with search people out here" then i got older gained more experience in several dog venues and now appreciate the extensive training these dogs go thru with committed knowledgeable trainers. Again your welcome to test my dogs any time on there working abalities. You can start with Axel he just turned 14 and should,nt tax your abalities to heavily. I,ve never trained a dog in S&R just have pups from my litters doing it. Who quit???? I,ve got dogs trialing next month.

Can't wait.  Have to make a roadtrip to Indiana.

I washed a dog out of schtz partially because of her tracking.  She became fema S & R certified.  Never went on a mission her whole life.  Most don't they are pretenders.

Yes your sooooo experienced.  Go do some FH's and teach your dog to track on hard surface.

It's tough, but it's not a measure of a working dog.

BTW, not responsible for any negatives to your 14 month old.  I would never put it to them at that age they are too immature mentally, but since you said so....

Um Axel is 14 years old ! probably still to much dog for you.

by bzcz on 09 July 2014 - 21:07

Still not responsible.  I would never endanger my dog for my ego.

You however are obviously different.

So by you working my dogs they will be in danger! Okay that also says alot about you and your mentallity. I sent you the list of where i,ll be trialing so if there any closer to you you can save gas money.

been away for a while......
zdog......if the contract is broken it is broken.... if people cannot uphold their part of the deal, they shouldn't be breeding as they are not trustworthy..... i one of my puppies is used for breeding before the qualifications are met, i dont want my kennel name involved with them. i will not make exceptions.

Testing a 14 year old dog is dangerous.

I'd think someone with your VAST amount of knowledge would already know that.

Would   you   like    me    to    explain   it    in    more     detail     for    you    so   that    you    can    understand    it    more    easier?
