Thank i can see what you are saying. My initial feeling is solid but when I look at specific areas I can see the weaknesses. I was thinking long loin but that didn't seem right so short croup makes sense.
My sister is probably less than an hr from you. I'll ask her if she needs riders:) Right now I'm laid up with a ruptured disk - L5 - but once i'm more mobile and back in shape:) I'll be getting a GSD - my boy died in dec. Before that I'll most likely travel back east so I'll be sure to look you up (I'm in Austin Tx right - too hot and ready to move:)
take care,
Susan

I have seen hare feet in many american line dogs and he looks like he has long toes, but that doesn't necessarily mean funky hare feet does it?
I too don't understand the croup issue, do you want to actually see an exstreme angle in the croup? I thought he had an angle, but maybe his tail is set low?
Sometimes I wish there was a computer program where you could see the skeletal sysem to establish real angles in the front and rear.
I have researched and found videos of this dog working in Germany, and I like him. He looks to have a bear head, but when seen from front he has big ears and an okay size head.
