SG Dasko vom Wolfsblick

Here you go. I have posted the pic for you. (If you right click on the mouse over the picture and select copy, then bring up the message box and click paste, this will allow you to post pictures from the database)

He looks a very handsome dog with nice pigmentation. I couldnt comment on conformation as I am a newbie in this area myself.

Personally this is the first time seeing him. and I do like what I see love the top line and dark pigment. Does not look to be oversized. Nice neck and head, also good expression, a little back on his pasterns.

Love to see that he is a top sport dog that can handle his own. But not surprised with Asko as the father

SDAlways for posting and teaching me how to put pics up.

SDChargers, do you know this dog I take it?  He really is what I call a well proportioned GSD, nice pigment, topline, nice shoulder, I just really like his structure and his pigment is perfect, love DARK dogs!e

Yes EKEvon.......  that was the one thing I could find wrong in the pics was his pasterns, they are angled backward

Rebecca   there is no such thing as a prefect dog so if that is all I can fault him on well I'll take it.  Mind you I have not seen him in peron so I am going off of his picture , titles, and pedigree.

Would be interested in what female he would be bred to and what she could bring to the table.

EK,

Yes, I agree, there is no perfect dog, and we all have opinions, and yes, I was searching for what people thought about this dog.  I thought this would be a good thread to start, as there has been so much turmoil on this database recently.

I value your opinion, and would love to hear what you think he should bred to,  and what would be produced.

I know pictures are not a great way to evaluatate anything, we need to see with our eyes, and watch movement, attitude, ete.,

Thanks for any and all thoughts

Nice dog. Probably could have gone V in conformation even with the pasterns and croup under the right judge. Very interesting pedigree, with Wanko Maaraue and linebred on Urs Hopfenstrasse. Love the pigment.

Shelly,

Could you talk more about what you're seeing in his pasterns and croup?  I'm just now learning what to look for with angulation and such so I'm not real sure what I'm looking at:)  with the pasterns would you want to see them a bit more upright not so sloping?  not sure the correct terminology - he has a bit too much angle?  not sure about the croup I've read some about it but I'm not able to see - I think I need to know what I'm looking at before I'm able to see it - just don't have the "eye" - yet:)

tia,

Susan

ps I was born in Allentown Pa, grew up I think  about an hr south of you - most my family is still there. My sister has a horse farm in the area - just a bit of trivia:)

I don't have a very good "eye" for conformation either, even after all the dogs I have shown. The dog's korung mentions a short upper arm and short croup, but that's pretty much a rubber-stamp for working line dogs' koer reports. At least he has some angulation, not straight up and down AND short like so many working line dogs we see. The pasterns aren't all that bad, could use some length and a better shape in the back. Can't see the feet from the angle, but I'm thinking they are long, maybe hare-feet, which makes the pasterns look odder. Overall he his a good looking working dog IMO. Not too far different than my own, "T"/Carol  but totally unrelated. I suspect he moves pretty well. Nice dry dog with a good strong back.

I live about 25 miles/35-40 min north of Allentown just 5 miles or so off the I-476 turnpike extension. Next time you get in the area, come on up for a visit. If I knew someone with a horse farm I'd ride now and then. I still have the excersize saddle and the helmet in the picture below. Don't want to think how sore I'd be the next day. LOL
