Wow, I am overwhelmed and grateful concerning all the intelligent comments, advice, and resources for me to check, thank you all very much.  I am going to be very busy researching your suggestions, which is okay, since I injured my leg and cannot train much right now.  And thank you also to those who did not jump in with any negative comments even though they may have been tempted to do so.

Once we have enough money saved up, Autumn's first choice would to be to buy an older puppy or young adult female, no title up to SchH1 title,  with a good foundation rather than a just weaned puppy.  She has helped  me raise and put a good start on so many puppies and litters, she says she is "puppy-ied out".  Plus, she wants to jump right back into training, and maybe trial next year.  If we fail to find a good prospect for a reasonable amount of money, then we will go to puppies.  Or she will just have to take one of my own working line females who are eager to go back to training and forget the red and black obcession, LOL.

We may have the opportunity to go to Germany and Belgium together to look around in person as well in the near future.

I will re-read and study your individual comments and suggested resources before I make any individual comments.

Thank you again,

Studying hard...Veronica

Boy. I just can't seem to stay out of trouble here anymore no matter what I post anywhere on this board anymore! Just as well my lunch break is over so I can get back out and train dogs while ya'll beat me up here. ha ha ha  Anybody wanna come out and lay 3-4 SchH 3 and FH tracks for me this afternoon and evening? Maybe help me raise the height of my 200 lb. scaling wall now that I'm done with the young dogs for the day? Tear the poison ivy that's growing around the tie-out posts out with their teeth... instead of chewing on me? LOL

Stupid question - are there no black and red workinglines dogs alive today? If not, have there ever been any?

Blitzen,

Please recall my reference to "smokestacks" (aka, SS)--I did not mean slowline studs!!

I don't get it Louise.

Blitzen---Black and red in working lines is uncommon. A few occur, but not many. Dasty von der burger hochberg produces an occassional red and black,or one of his grandchildren. But finding one that someone wants to let go of that has the right stuff can be quite difficult. Veronica

Of course, there are other SS initials--LOL!

Maybe closer to "home"--I don't mean "same shit" or "stupid shit" either,

Hey, Shelley, hope your wall is taller than this wall at a recent WDA trial:

BLITZEN:

Here's a black & red dog that can work, is V rated, Kkl-1, and has earned all his titles from BH to SchH3 bewteen Apr 2006-to- May 2008 and each title has been at a different field with a different helper (no sweetwater or midnight trials as some board-users are fond to say) and is very much alive and kicking:

My wall is standard regulation height, as is my hurdle. We don't do things like that around here.

Not to worry, Ravi--Blitzen knows and can name several black and red SL (V-rated, SchH3, KKl 1"a") male dogs that can work and that can produce working ability.

However, as you will soon learn, there is not a waiting line of folks wishing to breed to these "non-flavor-of-the-month", non-VA guys--with similar credentials to those of Juneau.

However, WL dogs of this description are few and far between.
