this is not linebreeding it is in-breeding and if it was a mistake then pups should have been aborted their are no excuses for this kind of breeding   jmho

Jim

One of the current UK GSD bitches is the result of a half brother sister mating and not much is said about that.

I noticed a thread on here a couple of weeks ago about people breeding too close and it didnt survive for long.

OMG I love saddlebred horses! I had one out of Glendale farms that I bought from Jimmy Stuart in missouri. Best horse ever. Attache lines and 5 gaited to boot.

Well, if he's anything like his parents, he'll be a pretty good dog. Definitely Gabi's expression... The bat man ears come from Gabi too. They do grow into them. Good luck with your AcciPup.

Kim, Thank you! I immediately thought accident, but would habe known for sure, had I recognized the kennel name. Thank you for the forthright and honest response.

Darned Accipup will probably go on and win the WUSV or something,  just to show everybody up.

Quote:   So, no, no one should breed like this.  It was a total accident ergo the name "AccI".  I am fortunate and so is he that it appears he inherited all the good genes so far.  The bloodlines are all "nice" working lines but not "extreme" working lines.  None the less, he will remain in his birth home for life no matter what and of course will never be bred!  Sorry to throw everyone with my putting him on the database, I really did it for my friends that have seen him and remark what a neat pup he is.  There is no way he should have turned out this nice except dumb luck.  I do not recommend anyone taking this chance though.

I have bred that way to see if I wanted to use a stud dog to see what the recessives are. I never just had one, but normally you lose some, but the ones that you do not cull are really good dogs.

I would question how many of you are breeders ??? How many of you have your own lines ?? So far, with all the genetic trash in the GSD, I would prefer to see more of this type of breeding. It weeds out the trash, and produces, providing there is something good to begin with, good dogs.

What happens is that you get x amount that are genetic disasters, and you cull them, and the rest are free of those recessives.

Now days it is frowned upon, as weak people are breeding, and do not have what it takes to breed a line, or to try and free their "beloved" breed of unwanted recessives. This is stupid, and close minded. Clear the lines up, and then we will have better dogs to work with.

I get sick of posters with no knowledge, or a couple of litters, telling the world how to breed. I understand this was an accident, but it is not that big a deal. Some day you will figure out that dancing around the genetic problems is not responsible breeding either. You have to break some eggs to make a cake.

It is interesting that there was only one. I wonder how he will turn out.

Jeff, What exactly is your 'line"? What is your kennel name and what kind of results have you produced? Is there anywhere we can see results of your "line" working ?

jeff only one word to describe you IDIOT

Tell me your experience with breeding, and I will tell you mine. I have a feeling you don't breed.
