I guess no news is good news...I was just hoping for better news.  Thinking of you Kassandra and Stryker.  If thought and prayer alone would do the trick, you two would have been reunited long ago.  Keep searching!  Hit the local shelters everyday.

My heart goes out to Stryker and Kassandra and hope that he is found safe soon.  Do you have access to a humane trap?  You can get one from the local dog catcher.  I know of a breeder in my area that gave one of her breeding females away to a family a few miles from her home.  The dog got away when the new owners were walking her after only a few days in their home.  The dog was running scared for over 3 months.  Finally they put a humane trap in the area that she had been sighted with a blanket with the breeders scent on it and some good food.  She was trapped within 24 hours.  You do run the risk of trapping something else, but maybe this would work for you as well.

I hope the pup is found soon and in good health.

A hunting list I am on had this post today, about Amber Alerts for pets.  I thought it might help Kassandra and TIG.

And SitasMom, I certainly do agree with you on that!  I feel the same way and hope for happy news every time I see this thread has been updated!

Here's the post:

"Here is some information that I wasn't aware of..thought it might be
helpful. It is not a free service, but it does sound good...

Hey, did you issue an Amber Alert for your pet? I lost my dog a few weeks
ago and someone mentioned to go to <http://www.amberpetalert.com/>
http://www.amberpetalert.com to help find my dog. I followed there guide
book and searched locally however my poster was received by a vets office in
another town. They told me that someone found an injured dog very similar to
mine and that they passed him on to the local shelter. I went to check it
out and it was him! I just wanted to pass on this tip because it helped me
get reunited with my puppy. Even if you don't do the amber alert be sure to
download the lost pet guide book, it has so much good info in it! Good luck

I'm still thinking positively that Stryker will be found safe and sound and reunited with Kassandra.  Hang in there all involved in the search.  Please don't get discouraged and give up on him.  He's out there somewhere, cold, lonely and very scared.

I have not read through every post here.  So my question is have the owner offered a reward?  It there is a rat in the wood pile this will flush them out.  A women that owned a pup from a breeding of mine years ago called me and said someone stole her pup.  We put out flyers with large reward offered for the pup.  Low and behold someone very close to her house called and said they "found" the dog.  I threw the guys 5 bucks and we left.  They stole the dog and knew they were busted when I showed up.  If someone is holding this dog, has seen what is going on, may be waiting for a handsom reward.  So if one has not been offered throw out some cheese for the rats.  I will continue to pray and hope for the best.  Sorry for your grief.
