I HAVE BEGUN A THREAD FOR BREEDERS AND WHAT THEY SHOULD BEWARE OF. I hope that breeders will post their advice and horror stories there for new breeders to benefit from your experience.

GODDAMN CLOWNS, THIS IS NOT THE JERRY SPRINGER SHOW.  NO ONE  IS INTERESTED IN YOUR SORDID AND TACKY LIVES NO ONE GIVES A CRAP WHO DID WHAT TO WHOM.

KitKat, GSLOver123 and all the rest of you idiots enbroiled in this tacky ass white trash feud:  If you can't control yourselves and leave your personal problems off this board do the rest of us a favor and GO AWAY.

WE ARE ALL SICK TO DEATH OF YOUR CRAP.

 I second this:

"GODDAMN CLOWNS, THIS IS NOT THE JERRY SPRINGER SHOW.  NO ONE  IS INTERESTED IN YOUR SORDID AND TACKY LIVES NO ONE GIVES A CRAP WHO DID WHAT TO WHOM.

WE ARE ALL SICK TO DEATH OF YOUR CRAP."

Why don't you guys go meet in a bar or a park or a trailer park and duke it out and leave us out of this crap. Do you have no shame?

4. Beware: Breeders whose hip guarantees run out BEFORE a dog can get OFA certification at two years old. OFA does NOT certify prior to age 2. So, a hip "guarantee" until 12, 16, 18 or 20 months is worthless. It is NO guarantee. RUN.

To take this one step further

BEWARE: Breeders who will not accept anything other than an OFA as prrof of HD! That cannot be done until 2 yrs of age, and we all know that HD can show up way before then! That leaves the pet owner up the proverbial creek without a paddle. ASK what type of proof will be acceptable for proving HD, and if you must wait until the dog is 2 yrs old- RUN!!

A friend of mine got badly *burned* in precisely this manner.

How you going to bitch what I am posting? I clearly stated, you have to be careful of where yor pups get sold. I come here "trying" to talk about German Shepherds. That is WHAT I SIGNED UP HERE FOR!
And that is what I have been doing for the past three years. NO, I don't know as much about "training"as most of you here. But I do know about dog care, and caring for dogs!

Kitkat, Would you PLEASE at least try to stay on the TOPIC? That would alleviate any criticism directed at you. As I said, there is now a separate thread for breeder and seller alerts about buyers.

This thread is really useful, lets keep it that way.

Bump

by hodie on 05 April 2009 - 17:04

I suggest this thread be refined and organized by Mystere and perhaps one or two others helping her, and also the thread on breeder beware, and that the refinements then be posted. Then they should be bumped up daily, whether anyone ads to them or not. This is one way we can help newbies. Further, such a refinement might also suggest contacting members of the board who have contributed to those threads when a newbie has a question about a given breeder or buyer. A separate thread could also be created about what to do when you feel you have been screwed by a breeder. Mystere should be able to write that and give people information on legal options easily, if she is interested in doing so and has time to do it.
