Where can I obtain information on shows for show line gsd? I would like to get my gsd a SG until I get her a working title. Does anyone know any information on Show that deal with SV registered dogs (not AKC)?  Thanks for any input.

How old is your dog? Dogs can only be shown in Conformation shows with out titles up to 24 months of age. After that, they must have a title, unless you can find one with an "Open Class" for over 24mths without titles.

My one dog is 25 months old. Do know where and when an " open class " is?

i would say that once you know where a show is ask the club if they are offered and 24 month and up open class.  it may also be called an untitled class.  the highest rating that your dog can get in this class is an SG.

I am very close to Frederick and could help you get a SG rating on your dog provided he/she meets the requirements.  I have shown many of my own dogs, to VP, SG, V, and VA ratings.  I have also handled many times for others with very good results.  If you would like to talk to me further about this you could send an email to Fokwulfe@msn.com.

I hate to say that but the SG earned in the open class (adult untitled 24+ months) does not count for anything other than perrsonal experience (very much like a puppy rating). Since the SV does not recognize this title ( this class does not exist in Germany),  you now have to wait until your dog is titled. After obtaining a SchH1 (or HGH), you can show your dog in the working class and take that rating to a breed survey.
