wait until he's older to worry about it - "bunny hopping" is quite normal movement for that age, usually their legs go in every different direction and they are very "loose" unti they are older and more coordinated.

I agree with what Molly says about the bunny hopping as pups, although if it continues into the puppy's life as it grows, hip issues may be the underlying culprit. Xrays and such at this age is not going to be very beneficial for figuring out the issue. And considering the medical ailments you've done said he's been through and growth, he might just be a little weak in his muscles in the back end right now. I wouldn't overly fret until I noticed it following your pup to and past its first birthday. If it continues and seems to be his favored way of running when he's older, then a prelim x-ray wouldn't be a bad idea to see what's going on.

my eight week pup also does bunny hopping. This is very normal for this age

I agree with the last few posts
I had a 9 week old Crested pup that loved to hop till he figured out how to coordinate his limbs.
