Just checking the SV-Genetics-database for you Videx.
(I have put the dogs in order of birth, I know VA’s are left below with the young dogs.)
PAKROS d’ Ulmental 04.04.2002: 688 pups, 138 HD-1 (20,1%)
ORBIT vom Hühnegrab 21.07.2002: 537 pups, 84 HD-1 (15,6%)
HD-2 IDOL vom Holtkämper Hof 01.09.2002: 368 pups, 46 HD-1 (12,5%)
HD-2 DUX de Cuatro Flores 05.09.2002: 529 pups, 82 HD-1 (15,5%)
QUENN vom Löher Weg 10.02.2003: 510 pups, 82 HD-1 (16,1%)
I daresay all of these dogs were way too young, when they were put in the VA-class. At that point in time, they had not what it takes to be called upon. The VA-group should demonstrate the crème de la crème, and they should have put that to the test before, which none of them did.
And why on earth should these following dogs be called upon to join the VA-group?
They are way too young, and have no offspring one can judge. They produce a lot of pups, oh yeah, but are they strong and healthy? Do they have sound hips? Are these contenders proven producers? I don’t think so.

YANOX von Bad-Boll 03.10.2003: 136 pups, only 21 HD-1 yet
HD-2 ODIN vom Holtkämper Hof 18.11.2003: 369 pups, only 20 HD-1 yet
HD-2 VEGAS du Haut Mansard 16.03.2004 : 255 pups, still none x-rayed yet
WINNER vom Assaut 03.04.2004: 123 pups, none of them x-rayed yet
HD-2 XITUS vom Murrtal 06.04.2005: too young, no progeny
This theme was discussed before, and I still believe dogs taken into the VA-group should be older, they should have proved their qualities as a producer up front, and they should certainly NOT measure more than 65 cm! Elementary that they should have sound HD-1 hips, so ban Idol and Dux, Odin and Vegas.
There are certainly enough dogs with HD-1-hips to choose from. They can be allowed to enter VA-class, NOT HD-2 dogs. As if the pool was not big enough to choose from! VA’s must represent the best of the breed, remember? Good hips is certainly the least that can be expected from a VA.

And hips are not all what it takes to become VA-group also...

I do believe Winner is HD 1.
I have a Winner son who has been premlimed excellent!! Just an FYI...he has perfect structure and temp. Winner definately throws himself!!! Especially in his perfect backhand angulations and movement.
I sure hope Winner goes VA...

Hi Neohaus,
Yup, he is HD"a1", aswell as ED "a1"........ always had a hard time to use anything less than that for a stud. Capone looks really nice...... must be out of a nice breeding !! As to Winner going VA ....really good chance there, from what I heared !
Kind Regards Ulli
