Do the Raad, V.D.H. , FCI or KMSH offer any online databases to check HD and ED status? For example you an go to www.offa.org to find a dog's OFA status or to the SV for the Z.W. number. Also does the SV have an online database to confirm the actual a stamp classification?
I apologize for the translations below they are mechanical translations by babelfish.

The SV database for ZW is here: http://www.schaeferhund.de/site/index.php?id=688 Give the name of dog and you can get the ZW of the dog.

http://www.schaeferhunde.de/site/index.php?id=688 Click on this link. You may use drop-down menu and click on Hundename, Zwinger, or SZ-Nummer.

Thank you Senta and Louise. As mentioned in my post I am familiar with the page you both referenced  but this merely gives the ZW number and does not indicate the "a" status ( normal, fast, noch). I'm looking for a German and FCI or European version of the OFA database where you can input name or registration number come up with an actual hip rating and if it showed relatives and progeny like OFS that would be even better.

I have found a lot of stuff on both the Raad and VDH site that talks about hips and elbows but nothing that references a database. The VDH site has a pedigree database ( Darwin) that is quite good if a bit cumbersome ( great for checking the accuracy of Dutch pedigrees) but does not show any title or health clearance info.

Also the language on the Raad site seemed to suggest that they have or are working on a scheme similiar to the ZW one - does anyone know if this is true ( working with mechanicl translators can be tough following more complicated discussions)?

The ZW of any "a"-stamped dog/bitch is available on the S.V.'s website as has been mentioned above. I do not think the "a" stamp value (1, 2, 3, 6) can be found anywhere on the S.V.'s web-database. The best sourse for detailed data is the CD-ROM titled "S.V. Genetics" that is published each quarter of the calendar year and available for purchase from the S.V. store. I agree it is a shame that this is not available online, but it is something that provides a tiny bit of revenue for the S.V. and allows information to be viewed by non-members.

As far as the V.D.H. or the F.C.I. I can offer no advice as I have never looked through their records available.

Regards,

Bob-O

Sorry - but I can¿t understand. The "a" I take from this pedigreedatabase - isn¿t that right?

by VKFGSD on 26 November 2007 - 14:11

Senta,  The SV hip classification issues "a' stamps .  A1 = normal a2=fast normal a3= noch zuglassen and a6 means the hips were scored outside of Germany.

The ratings on this site are not totally reliable because there is no verification process that that rating was actually given to that dog. The problem with an open source database such as this is that anybody can upload anything or even go in and change someone else's record. Thus I was looking for an official secure database where one could check the rating. I'm especially interested in finding that for dogs that are scored under FCI schemes because often the pedigrees we see for these dogs do not contain that information.

Thank you... by the way I was wondering about somebody changed in the pedigree of my dog something... I don¿t know who it was, but thank you to strange somebody - all was right. The ZW is changing with the number of puppies and the x-rays of them. If a male made good hips - than it can happen that the ZW was in past year 90... but in this year 80 and so on. I am sure you know that. I think - the most sure possibility is to send/to get a copy of the original pedigree of the dog. There are all informations you need.
