...and I'm bored! So, here's a picture: Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket How's everyone else doing? Are you getting this storm, too? Church dinner was cancelled, if anyone thinks they can get their dog team through the drifts, you're welcome to come over for some really scrumptions maple-glazed rainbow trout, on a bed of white and wild rice! Okay, can't put it off any longer...must go shovel! :-(( Any fit, handsome single guys out there who'd like to come help me dig out? :-D

We have ice, snow, and more ice. The peaceful silence around here is broken only by my cursing when I fall down and dump yet another bucket of water down my boot. At least its warm water. ;) Getting blisters through my gloves trying to pry poop-sickles out of the ice with a pick and a spade shovel. Somebody asked me to take a video of a young dog working and send it to them today. FAT CHANCE! LOL I hate PA in the winter. SS

How bad is Pa. today...I just recently moved from Florida to Michigan...and I'm going through my first winter storm...I've been doing just great with the cold...but we got about 12" of fluffy white stuff last night and still getting it now...I had to go out to the barn and take care of the dogs this morning...and it's a job hiking out there...It's not really that far...but when this white stuff is so high it's difficult...My dogs loved it...my Shepherds were just playing all over the place in it...my Australian Cattle Dog was dancing in it...but my short legged Jack Russells disappear when they get in it...Maybe I need to tie a flag on their tails so I can still find them... ~Bob~

Domenic, I'm straight up Yonge St. from you, in Aurora! Thank you for the compliment on my dogs. They help make a day like this more bearable... :-(

Lehighton, PA (25 miles north of Allentown) Ice, snow, rain that quickly freezes to more ice, freezing rain (whatever that is) and more ice. 50 mph + winds, (30-45 steady) forecast for later. Young dogs like it for awhile, then hide in their houses or cry to get in. Old dogs have to be thrown outside to do their business, stand at the door immediately after, clearly not amused. I worry they'll slip and pull something running on the thick ice, like me. By this time tomorrow I will look a lot like a pinto pony under all these clothes. As I have so often said: the next idiot who tries to tell me "But I could NEVER live in California... I just LOVE the 4 seasons" is getting the pick ax I had to use this morning to dig the poop-sickles out of the icy ex runs right through the head. God forbid I should consider trying to navigate our steep hill in Ole Red today. I'd starve first... wiser of late, having ended up sideways and/or in the woods so many times before. Yes, Red does have AWD. Great for getting her moving... Useless for turning/stopping on ice. SS

Snow, sleet, freezing rain & some wind all nite & this morning here in Massachusetts. It stopped around 11:45am, with a little less than a foot of it. Still some flurries and light stuff going on right now too.. My older girl doesn't enjoy it as much as she used too, but I don't blame her! ~Lauren
