Lenny or Sieger. A guestion if I may - just some historical curiosity nothing more. What do you know about Judge Rolf Fauser? I haven't heard his name in years so I presume he either died or retired. I showed under him decades ago before I really knew anything about the German system. What was his kennel name and what kind/lines did he breed? I was told later that as well as being a SV breed judge he was qualified to judge the HGH competition and that very few SV judges were. Is that true or how are the judges determined for the herding trial (the actual trial NOT the HGH class at the Sieger show). What was your opinion of him as a SV judge? Did he favor one style over another? Was he perhaps the "working dog breed judge" meaning he'd be kind to working dogs for their show and koer ratings as you see sometimes today with certain judges? This much I know about him. He was very much the gentleman at the show I went to. Gave all exhibitors' dogs a fair look and a good going over. We were given written evaluation on each dog. All this done in some of the worst weather you could get. It was the beginning of October in Ontario and it rained, sleeted, snowed, sunned and did just about everything Mother Nature could think of that day. By the time adult bitches were up I had 5 layers of clothes on and back in those days I never got very cold. Of course I was just getting over bronchitis and after one time around this huge ring I just wanted to lay down and die and let everyone run over me. Hopin you have some information you can share. Thanks. Beth

Diogo, Zamp was not shown this year because his owner/breeder Albrecht Woerner judged the kennel groups. It seems that in 2008, he is judging again, which is kind of surprising. So no Zamp again, unless he changes owners before the event. Chris

The idea behind is to have one judge for openclasses males and females for 3 years. After 3 years they will have a change, what make sence for continiue in a stabil bloodline. regards, Sieger

Hello, Zamp was not shown, because his co-owner Albrecht Wörner was judging kennelgroup. Next year 2008 he will judge youthclass females. Reinhard Meyer as the German breedwarden will stay for the next 3 years and has the right to judge the openclasse males. Zamp is to old for the next Siegershow 2008 and what can he do better, then become Sieger. With all this risc in protectionwork, it is better to let him rest on his title. Please think about Zamp¿s problem in protectionwork, 3 years ago! Sieger

Hello, you are right. Albrecht Wörner will judge youthclass females in 2008. Reinhard Meyer and Rüdiger Mai openclass males and females for the next 3 years. I believe it is a very good decision for the breed, to have over a period of time the same judge for the openclasses. Sieger
