X-ray hips in Ireland/But sent to Germany/need info - Page 1

I want to get my dog and bitchs hips done but would like to do so in the german system, does any one know who would do this, if i get hips done where do i send them, and is the x-ray taken different to the bva. can any vet do these and sent to germany, so looking for addresses and numbers if any one can help, Dude

Hi Dude I know that Paul Bradley gets his dogs hips xrayed in UK and submitted for A stamp in Germany. You could try ringing him (01270 841003). The positioning seems to be the same as required by the BVA. Pity you do not want to use the BVA scheme though as the data is useful for us UK breeders, The German A stamp is "dead" information as far as UK dogs are concerned, it is not even counted in the ZW calculations. They have to be done through the GSD League of GB, if you contact Carole Lister or Nikki Farley they will send you the details and instructions you have to give to the vet etc.
