Help Eye problem - Page 1

Hello, I have had Asia vom Deutschen Adler, we have had her 3 months now. Recently she developed a leaking eye, now both eyes are leaking with some puss. None of my other dogs have this issue. My vet office is not open till Wednesday, does any one have any sugestions??

Mix one level teaspoon of table salt with a pint - 8 ounces - of warm, sterile water and bathe both eyes using a cotton ball. Hold the eye open and squeeze the solution into the eyes and let it run out. It can't hurt and it should help til you can get her to a vet. You can do it 3, 4 times a day. It sounds like an infection and if it looks like it's getting worse, Id'd try to find a vet before Wednesday.

If you find out tonight about late nigth chemist.or one that open't tomorrow ther surly will be one on call, you can get (Brolene)its a eye ointment for eye and eyelid enfections and can be bought over the counter, try that a day or two before running to vet, and him giving you the same thing and charging you ten times the prise. you should be able to but a sterile saline solution for eye irrigation at any pharmacy.
