Hip Dysplasia

by Louise M. Penery on 01 January 2008 - 23:01

ratlady, it means absolutely nothing beyond the fact that the dog has no hip rating--either because radiographs have not been submitted to the SV or because the dog is too young for hip certification. It does not denote hip dysplasia!

If someone says, "I took my dog to the vet and he was diagnosed with HD"  But Louise is correct in what you described looking at a ped. .... why am I bothering to type this..... read Louise remark... geesh

If  behind a dogs name is HD  is it most a Dutch pedigree   the Dutch use HD-  HD  tc  , HD +-  as the Germans Anormal,A fast n, and A nz

"ratlady" was talking about THIS pedigree site.

All it means is that the hip dysplasia (HD) box has not been filled out.

That's all.  This site is not official, so not having a rating on this site does NOT mean the dog hasn't had an evaluation.
