Books & DVDs to read and watch - Page 1

I was wondering what books are considered the best on the GSD Breed? What one would you direct a newbie to GSDs and Schutzhund to read? Also DVDs?

The book I would recoommend for the shepherd was writen by Brian H. Wootton (A Owers Companion) I think its one off the better books out there writen by a man who knows the dog inside out, As for dvd's theres a web site called (Leerberg )he does a lot of stuff, But i would say to you the books and dvds will help a bit but you need to join nearby club get talking to people with experience, jump in head first and ask questions, best of luck with new dog.

Thanks dude, I have had my GSD for 5 years now, I was asking because I would like to purchase them for a friend who thinks my GSD "is such a great dog and is very pretty". Well i really don't think that it is the right breed for her and I want to get some book so she knows what she is in for because all she sees is my very well behaved dog after years of training and will not listen to little old me on how much time is involved in said training..

Anyway thanks for the recommendation. .
