And, I hope you guys caught that I used the wrong Whole....it should, of course, be hole!  You people make me nervous!!!!!  This is quite possibly my last post....

Hey Hailey,

I just read your post and did realize that it was the wrong whole.  LOL

And yes, the conformation and confirmation bug me too.  Conformation as in the structure of a dog.  And confirmation as in confirming one's appointment.

Hailey,

Is this proper use?

As a whole, the plan has a hole in it .  LOL

I did find that I do have to think about one a bit more.  I do know that a lot is two words, but I'm always tempted to make it one word.

What da hell do it matter any ways?  Do you understand what they are saying?  This is a dog board, not a mensa meeting.  You people need to get over yourselves!

Oh, and since I am one of the illiterate, isn't "at least" supposed to be "atleast"?  (to O.P.)

Don, you are kind of correct.  I only attended one year of college and I will never forget my English teacher at that time, telling me that language is expressing a thought, view or a communication, and if it gets the point across, then is did its job.  So, if some puts "doughter" instead of daughter, and I understood what they meant, then all is well.  The point got across.

However, having said that, it wouldn't hurt us to use a dictionary once in a while.  After all, wouldn't we all correct our childrens writings if they mispelled a word or six, and we knew they had?  Yes, I know the difference between children and the adults on the internet, but hey, if I was training my dog to sit the wrong way, wouldn't you tell me the correct way?

Just asking.

We come from all walks of life.  Some come from higher education, while others have very little.  This is a dog board.  People are getting their ideas put down every other post.  Do we need to correct their grammer and spelling too?  Has this board gotten that boring that we need to make this English Grammer 101?  Almost 100% of the people, on this board, make mistakes.  Nobody should be pointing a finger.  Why don' you guys concentrate on dogs and dog training.  When you have perfected training, then you can concentrate on how I spell, aceholes.

Buy da wey.  how du yu spell "douche bags"?  Was dat write?

spelling pet peeve: i call the paper to advertise baby hamsters, and the ad comes out, advertising hamPsters, every single time. even if i spell it out and submit it on paper at the building where it is published, they still insist on putting a p in it.

I think when all of us post here , we are in a hurry ,  wrapped up with the high of the topic and this is just recreation of a sort...;     after a hard day at work ,to sit here and have to be afraid to post  ;   because someone might call  us down for mispelling , is not really anything to be concerned with...

Yes, I use proper spelling every day at work , but at my computor , in the dark of the room , may not always spell   .....or may sentences according to    Roberts rules of acceptance.....sorry    but I dont feel it is necessary to be proper on a dog site,,,,where we all make jokes ,,,,and even talk in slang...sometimes another language I don't know or can understand...

I hope we just keep it fun and not tap someone down because it isnot a sentence or spelled wrong....I make a lot of mistakes and don't see them until I hit the key and it's on the screen.....it takes a lot of time to proof read when your in a hurry and posting and need to get on with other things.....some people just don't feel it is all that important... If this was a job application or a school project , or text for publication....what difference does it make..????

I find blaming errors of many kinds on my keyboard to be effective.   I dislike hearing someone upon answering the phone say, "This is her." Instead of saying, "This is she."  Or at least say... "Speaking" and fool your audience.
