I personly think that a good breeder will not with hold paper work that go's with any dog/puppie, if you do not wish people to breed from them for what ever reson then it is much simpler just to endorse the dogs/puppies pedigree... I personly think that it is wrong to sell dogs without the full paper work. if you wish to do obedience with your puppy then you can always obedience register your puppy, but i would try talking to the breeder and try to come to some arrangment on this, if it is possible to register your puppy the breeder can do this untill the pup is a year old, but if I am right it will cost a good bit more than registering it as part of a litter, hope you get it sorted out good luck...

Yogi, I am in this situation and so are 9 other buyers of the particular litter 2 of which are going to court over it. My experience is that the reason this happens is that the breeder is 1) Greedy, 2) A disorganised slob 3) Only breeds to get a few extra bucks to tide him over as his other business activity doesn't do the job 4) In the end does not really give a damn and 5) probably has some legal/financial wranglings with co-owners who will not allow him to register the litter. Frankly, its our fault as buyers because we trust the breeder and we pay cash. Its unfortunate that this particular segment of society has unethical elements just like everywhere else.

thanks caroline i am going to court becuse in my opinion these breeders need to be made to answer for their actions to many people knew about the breeder i am talking about and took it upon themselves to keep quiet about his underhander ways why they kept quiet about this man i dont know little do they realise by keeping quiet they are only fueling his deception of inocent victims more and ruining there own sport yes i agree with everything you are saying but when you buy a dog you expect to get what you have paid so much money for i am am seriuorly giving consideration to naming and shaming this breeder

solo thank you and wot makes this matter worse is i brought this dog as a show dog which the breeder was fully aware i have been in contact with ann from justice for dogs and she has given me some advice on wot i can do next i was also advised to ring the breeder witch i did and got nothing but abuse from him the only thing that really saddens me is the unfortunate owners and pups that get caught up in this mans path of destruction for the breed yet he put his self across as a top breeder and handler of many top show dogs

Once you win a court action against the breeder, you must then report the court case and the outcome to the Kennel Club, along with your complaint, THEN, AND ONLY THEN, WILL THE KENNEL CLUB WILL CONSIDER A CASE AGAINST THE BREEDER UNDER RULE 43 (I think) Other breeders and GSD organisations may know about this breeder, and I can understand the anger that buyers feel when that they do nothing. YOU MUST REALISE ITS THE CUSTOMERS THAT FEEL AGRIEVED THAT MUST TAKE ACTION AGAINST THE BREEDER, NOT JUST COMPLAIN, OR MOAN, BUT TAKE LEGAL ACTION. solo thank you again for your comments and i am takeing legal action got court papers today have spoke to ann from justice for dogs and i am following her advice . and all i can say its a shame when a reputable breeder and sucessful shower of gsds like your self is being bad named by these low life breeders they really should look at there own kennel b 4 attacking urs i belive by looking at this site you have also had trouble with this man as have many others

by solo on 26 October 2004 - 18:10

yogi: the main reason I get bad mouthed by these people is: 1) Jealousy of my dogs and/or reputation for honesty. 2) They want to be noticed, who would notice if they slagged off a small breeder/kennel. 3) They are distracting people from their own faults. 4) They are cowards and can only slag me off anonymously, because they know that if I had their identity, I would deal with them 'absolutely'. What they do not realise is: THEY HAVE DONE MORE TO GENUINELY ENHANCE MY REPUTATION AMONGST HONEST AND DECENT PEOPLE.

I think you should name the breeder. I suspect I know who it is. I had trouble with the same person back in the 80,s. Bastard.

http://www.akc.org/registration/rules/index.cfm?page=4 http://www.akc.org/registration/rules/index.cfm These links might help if it is AKC. There is a new MESSAGEBOARD going up about GSD folks to look out for. I know this because the guy tried to get me to host his site, which I will not do as I intend to POST PLENTY about a couple of folks in Central Ohio. I will post a link when I get it.
