How long before Mommy starts to show her Tummy? - Page 1

Wondered how long it takes before a pregnant bitch starts to show physical signs there's puppies on the way?

I am usually able to tell about 3-4 weeks when they stand up and they get the slightest rounder belly, the poochy belly I call it....

I agree with DKiah, it's about four weeks, to someone that wants to see an obvious difference.

I just bred one of my girls just 2 weeks ago, and I personally can tell she is having pups, what
I look for is for some of the hairs on the underside of her belly to begin to point downward, like
straight down towards the ground, and also look for morning sickness between 2-3 weeks,
ya, some dogs get that too.........

Probably sounds alittle strange, but if you know your dog really well, you should see these
differences.    Oh, and also, your dog will act extra happy JMO

we had a bitch that didnt show . Then threw a litter of nine. usually they start to show 3 wks prior to est whelping date. has the vet felt the pups?? how manny days have u got left?? any breast tissue?

I can tell by 3 weeks because I really know my girl.  I can see the slightest bit of a "pooch" that others don't see.

Ok then it's not just my imagination. lol  I'd say my bitch is probably about 3 weeks pregnant and I was looking at the way she was walking today; she looked like her belly was weeble wobbling, and looking a little on the "fluffy" side. lol  I wasn't sure if it's her body starting to take shape or the extra food/suppliments I've been giving but she just looked a little chubby to me today.
