I have been reading posts on this board for a couple of months.  I am appalled at some of the content that comes up amongst  some of the people. The fighting and bickering amongst each other is useless to our beloved dogs.  I am reading a book, and I read something last night that reminded me of this message board.

There is  nothing that strengthens the ego more than being right.  Being right is identification with a mental position - a perspective, an opinion, a judgement, a story.  For you to be right, of course, you need someone else to be wrong, and so the EGO loves to make wrong in order to be right.  In other words:  You need to make others wrong in order to get a stronger sense of who you are. Not only a person, but also a situation can be made wrong through complaining and reactivity, which implies that "this should not be happening."  Being right places you in a position of imagined moral superiority in relation to the person or situation that is being judged and found wanting.  It is that sense of superiority the EGO craves and through which it enhances itself. - Eckhart Tolle "A New Earth".

It would be nice to see less ego's and more GSD love and support!    Patty Davidson

That is so true,  Also you find,   the people who talk less and just get on with things , are usually the most successful,  no need to  (brag about what they have done) as their success is there to be seen.

Great post, but we all know it will go completely unheeded. Relevant threads on training and genetics are buried while personal quarrels get thousands of views.
