elizabeth wrote: "Could you tell me what the OFA rating of Dallas?" I could, but I won't...this is a research project you can do on your own. It's very easy: go to the OFA website (http://www.offa.org), select the "Advanced Search" option, and type in the dog's registered name. Select the correct breed, go to the bottom of the page, and toggle the "search" button. Voila! The information you seek shall appear...and even more than just your initial query, which I suppose was referring to his hip rating. (If you don't know this dog's registered name, I suggest you read the entire thread again, because it's already been mentioned.)

No, Misty lived a long life. She actually was retired from the ring rather late in life, 7 or 8 I think. It was Joan Fox's Kennel that someone electrocuted the dogs. One of them was the Grand Victrix, Merkel's Vendetta. It was a very sick incident.

Thank you Susan. I remember the electrocution story, but I knew I had something else mixed up. Thanks. Alexis

Dawnmarie, I don't remember it but then I've only been looking out here for a couple of weeks. BTW Dallas got two legs on his HS tying for High in Trial for one leg. His daughter, the 2002 Canadian Grand Victrix Holly finished her HS this fall as well. Susan

I don't think that this post should fall short of noting the many many great dogs from Tucker Hills, including the likes of: Angelique and their champion producing Kovaya's Contessa. Angelique/Harrigan progeny produced many champions. Nothing to shabby here when looking back at the Am bred. Just giving credit where credit is due.

And I would have to wonder which one had the fetish with spices so reflective in the names?

Hello firethorne, I haven't seen a lot of Dallas' offspring but the ones I've seen have been pretty nice. I like Genny a lot and there was a nice open dog at last year's Harrisburg show I thought looked good. True enough about not showing more than one import at the same show. If I were going to show one myself, I'd do some research on which judges did well for Smith's Jim and Goldfarb's import he recently finished. I think Smtih gave Goldfarb's dog a major and vice versa. I swear Hatter could have made even the most confirmed dog hater into a GSD fancier with just one look LOL.

by Blitzen on 06 December 2004 - 07:12

Oops, meant to say I areed that it would be better TO show more than one import at the same show.

Hi Giebel Let me tell you, that after 11 phone calls remembered talking to me! In asking around, I was told to go by my gut feelings, which I did. I've also had people come to buy one of my pups after having replacement puppies be so bad that they didn't even want to go back for a third dog! I'm about 20 minutes away from Covy Tucker Hill, and have really nice pet pups still available! Kerry www.Wachtelwiese.com
