As there are already too many confusing Siegershow threads, I will bring the news that comes in to me on my weblog:

http://www.bloggen.be/hd/archief.php?ID=18394

I hope my friends will keep me posted, if they don't, please forgive them. There is a lot of stress on them these days and they must compete.

Please feel free to come and read.

Jantie

P.S.: I have missed some of the e-mails that have come in until today, will answer them asap. Sorry for the delay.

Thanks--keep us up to date. Sounds miserable, wet, and cold.

Thank you Jantie - your input is much appreciated!

Jantie,

From your blog: Judge Reinhardt Meyer apparently received the confidence from the top of the SV after defending himself Thursday night at the meeting, following the many accusations that we all could read about on different boards. Insiders say the SV will deal with it later, (immediately?) AFTER the Siegershow.

Those of us in the USA don't have access to these other boards--probably, not in English, anyhow. Why was Meyer defending himself?

Thank you Louise and Anja. I will be glad to share my info with you all.

There have been some very serious allegations against Mr. Meyer, you might find some of them on this board under the topic: "Translate please". A former breed warden and top-notch-judges have accused him of different things, amongst others bribery and enrichment.... Fact is, an investigation for tax offences is on the move, Pet-Air and Gradlyn Kennels (exporting dogs from Germany) have been visited by the district attorney. It might take a lot of time, you know the wheels of justice turn mighty slow, but as you know, nothing is certain, except... death and taxes. (Ref.: Brad Pitt in Meet Joe Black.)

Take care of your dogs!

Quenn aparently will NOT participate further, no matter what his Schutzdienst was like.

Right now, he goes without a number. His score not being shown in the results list, would confirm that.

People tend to withdraw their dogs for whatever reasons.

Jantie

I looked at the link you suggested under "translate please" and even with the translation I have no idea what is being said.  Can you give us a brief explanation of what that article says?

Thanks for your valuable information.

From my take, (which could be all wrong...) But, it is totally fishey that a top dog would pass bite work and then it not count and the dog be withdrawn from the show.

I think that this has something to do with Judge Meyer and the allegations held against him. Maybe these dogs are involved?? Just my mind racing to figure out why a dog that was expected to go VA1 would pull out of the show???
