(Quote by animules )Mary, a bit happy are you???

ME!! NO Way....

Karen Called a bit ago she is soooo excited, they also took high in trial today.

It was a team effort to be sure Ule was ready for this weekend.  When the pups were 3 weeks old, I started playing chuck-it with Ule, at 4 weeks, she started gaiting beside the golf cart, had to build up her endurance @ 5 weeks she went back to Karen for brushing up her SchH routine.

Karen & Ule are a great team with a super supportive groups of people in Canada & here in the US.

<<ME!! NO Way....>>

Mary,   you know damn good and well that you are cackling about as much as you were over the regionals in June!!   You've already made the reservations for Texas and probably changed your email signature line already, too.  But, no, you are not a bit happy!!    NO Way

I just checked the club trial results (posted).  Karen and Ule beat out two ducthies for HIT--both around 30 points behind Ule.  If only they had been Mals....    Kulla and Steve Miller pulled from the regional championship.

Just received my morning report from the Karen @ the O.G. Bierstadt SchH Club (WI) Regionals:

Today was tracking for the regional event; Ule & Karen earned 98 points, also earning high tracking.

Congratulations again to Karen & Ule.  Ule is living up to her nickname….U-Go-Girl

Quoted from Deeswolf "I guess if you have  a HOT dog it is a lot easier and way less expensive to meet the requirements for Universal Sieger."

Deeswolf,

Can you explain this?  To me, the cost would be similar.

I was trying to figure out the cost listed above, with no handling/boarding fees and $8,000 is high.

If one goes to a Regional and qualifies there, that is approx $800 or so, not including food if you went to a trial that was 250 miles away (worst case), hotel for 5 days at $69 and entry fee.  Local trial earlier on, if needed, to secure a 270 could add 500 at the most.

The nationals, no more than $2,000-2,500.

What is there to explain? If you handle, own and train the dog yourself, you do not have the added expense of sending the dog off to a trainer to "get the dog ready" for competition, nor do you have to pay for a handler to handle the dog for you at the events.
