Fokwulfe Kennels

by Fokwulfe Kennels on 03 October 2008 - 19:10

Hello All,

A Fokwulfe dog is in need of help.  She was struck by a car.  Her jaw is broken in three places, and besides road rash on the muzzle and bruised ribs, she is expected to make a full recovery.  My Vet Dr. Molesworth was able to fix everything but the broken jaw.  Today she her her first of three operations at the specialist center..  The Cost is $5700.00

A Lot of good comes from these boards, we learn from each other, Share information, and debate many topics. That is why I participate. I told the co owner of this V rated SchH 1 Kkl1a female that I would do whatever is needed to help assist in making sure that this female receives the proper treatment.   I myself despite my own personal issues paid the Vet Bill, but can’t afford to pay the $5700.00 Specialist fee.  So I am reaching out to all friends and families of the breed to perhaps offer a donation to reduce some of the elevated stress levels.

If you would be willing to make donations in this dog’s hour of need it would be greatly appreciated.

I can be reached at (443) 677-9242 or donations can be sent to

Carl Morgan

Respectfully,

Carl Morgan

It is always sad to know a dog has been hit by a car or otherwise injured. It happens all too frequently and I hope the dog in question recovers fully.

But while one considers sending a donation in this case where owners/breeders are and should be responsible for costs, how about sending one to your nearest favorite canine rescue group. Such groups take care of such medical and surgical bills frequently, often out of their own pockets and make not a cent in return from breeding and selling dogs. I know of several rescue groups who lately have expended this kind of money without any assistance and they aren't flush with money either. In one rescue situation, in the past year alone, three dogs have had to be euthanized and cremated. That does not count the care and feeding and medical attention for the other rescues present. None of this care comes without great cost, including for food which has skyrocketed lately in price.

Wow!  too sad when we have to go on the ww to find credit to care for an animal that is our responsibility as a breeder or a co owner.  This is another ear mark for caring for our own and those who do not!

Me too.  You are a good and honorable man, Karl and you breed very nice GSDs.

Carl, it takes a lot of integrity to do as you are doing to care for the dog. Bless you..........and never mind the doomsdayers here......Best wishes to you and your family and to all the dogs in your care
