We have always had German judges for our events and we ALWAYS make sure if they cannot speak English well enough that there are several people available to help. Given the people I know who are there, I am surprised someone did not think of this. And there are others in the organization who also speak very good German and other languages too.

Mystere. I talked to a competitor who did not hear his dog at  ALL in blind six. He did needed  two outs in the courage test as a PLANE was again overhead. This was about noon time so I will assume you were out taking your much needed happy pills. Now to the trial, only two V's in tracking and still waiting for for them in the other two phases. A horse race we got.

Realcold, Plain and simple, a bullshit EXCUSE: there were NO planes overhead at noon. None. And, by the way, I was in the stadium watching the entire time. Were YOU? That's what I thought. Maybe you should shut up about things you know nothing about...except via hearsay from folks grasping for an excuse. LOL Hodie, Apparently, it was a *decision* NOT to have an interpretor, because *someone* thought that would take too much time. (!!!!!!) That person was confronted on the issue, so *maybe* it will be different today.

i've been there with the planes too, and I say bullshit.  Speaking of which time to get some food, it's 630 gotta get going

The real shame of this event is the tiny crowd it has draw for such a world event.

Oki can you guys explain something to me. How your dog qualifies for the world and is excluded because he dose not engage, or is out of control? Can someone explain this to me? I am not into SCH so when I was scrolling down the results out of curiosity that was the first thing that surprised me.

This is not a bash I just want to know how is this possible. I always though that only best dog go to World and something like that would never happened. Thanks.

Snaiper, I make no excuses for anyone anytime, but yes, it can and does happen, even with world class dogs and handler teams.

I guess my first question would be have you ever trialed a dog? If so, have you ever trialed anywhere except your home field? Have you ever trialed, for instance, in a large stadium? Well, if not, that is part of your answer. In some cases, handlers in competitions have sent a dog to the wrong blind (not in this one as far as I know). In this competition, a dog was DQed because it left the final blind, for some reason, to go to blind three. Some dogs do not see as well as others and large distances can throw them. Stuff happens. What is saddest is that someone puts all that time and effort and MONEY into coming here only to be DQed.

Why does a world champion football team on rare occasions loose to an upstart team? Same idea in my book. It isn't so easy as many would like to think. It happens, and it may say little really about the quality of the dog, or, it may say something. Hard to know unless one actually knows the dog team well.

That makes sense hoodie, I guess dogs respond the same to stress as us humans, I asked because I want to know how common it is during an even of this magnitude. Since I know a lot of people that go to world have a lot of money invested in this I am sure it has to be crushing for them.

Would you say this has something to do with the way the dog was prep for this competition? Maybe too much training in familiar environment? Like I said I am not bashing just want to learn from people that might know more, and have more experience. Thanks.

By the way I was more intrested in the human error of the spectrum rather than the dogs :).

bit suprised to see the pair and the captitio ,did not engage, This Pair are a very good team but i will here what went wrong when they get back home

Snaiper, No that is not the case over here

Let us say i am going to trial a Dog at your Club and of course it will be strange

To help with this i will bring the Dog over to your club a couple of weeks before the trial and work it on your field the competition is to be on, i will do this three or four times before the actual competition this is done as a normal thing over here

This applies to everyone over here,, and the pair which came unstuck yesterday would have been well prepared, it is something which can happen to the best, and i expect they feel a bit sick about it, but knowing the Guys well enough they will push on and keep trying as hard as they can

My Damn Computer broke down last night, i have been waiting for months in anticipation of this event, and the computer breaks sdown on the first day of competition, i have borrowed this one to see the results todate

some one up above is playing games with me

Steve
