 Has there ever been a working dog in the White House ? or hunting dog that was every really used to hunt?

Hoover had 2 GSD's, Franklin D Roosevelt and JFK also had GSD's.  L. Johnson had hunting Beagles.

Actually, Bob, I'd love to see that.  Wouldn't it be great?

Actually, though, I hope they go with a mutt - otherwise too many idiots will want whatever breed the First Family has.

Glad to see the photos of the White House GSDs - didn't know that.  It's great to see.
