Sunsilver

by Sunsilver on 04 December 2008 - 16:12

My room mate's son was involved in a horrible accident early this morning, when the car he was riding in was struck by an 18 wheeler. He is currently in hospital in Toronto, and they are probably going to have to amputate his right leg above the knee. (He's in the O.R. right now, as I post this.) He's just 20 years old, and beginning to find his way in the world. Please pray for him (Andrew), and his mom, Julie!

Thank you.

That's horrible. I hope he'll be okay.  I live in Toronto, was the accident here or was he flown in?

We had a snowstorm here last night, London. No planes could get up, or they might have been able to save his leg. He was transported by ambulance, and by the time he got to St. Mike's the lower half of his leg had been without circulation for 8 hours.

If he'd been closer to a large hospital, they might have been able to save it!
