Sue, ITV stations... now THAT'S not a bad idea!  Buggered if I'm walking to Downing St tho' lol.

Time is not on our side, with Christmas upon us, but... I'll check out a few things tomorrow!

It may be useful to make complaints about the BBC to OFCOM

You can only complain to OFCOM about programmes that have already been aired not for what the BBC is doing off air.

Which really means the BBC gets away with doing what ever it wants until something gets aired and then nothing happens once it has!

What we need is a really good publicist who will help us show the country how much we do as a breed and how the KC do nothing to help us.

Mmmm... my complaint would be acceptable then, as I don't care about Crufts coverage but I do object to the bias of the August programme and about the BBC taking what they consider to be, the high moral ground, when they actually know very little and appear to care less!

I asked (in my first email to the BBC) why they consulted a geneticist versed in human genetics when we had a geneticist (Malcolm Willis) known world wide for his expertise in ANIMAL genetics.  Needless to say, I have not been provided with an answer... as yet!

I have been on a site, terrier man's daily dose, and there is some very interesting reading concerning Crufts,BBC and the KC. The BBC have supposedly commisioned a follow up programme to Pedigree dogs exposed. This site also claims the Rottweiler is not on the " at risk" list, and the dogs listed could have been shown at Crufts if they were allowed to give "a ctitical, unbiased commentary on the health of the breeds in question!!!!!!!   Aye right!!  It was interesting reading though. liz

Am I the only one who remembers some years ago crufts actually showing dogs running out in a park or similar prior to showing them in the ring??  I remember Tim Lawrence (Inuhaus) being the demo for the GSD.

Whoever gets crufts tv coverage in future should go back to that kind of thing along with the purpose/origin of the dog and what they do today.  A good amount of time should also be allocated to the other going's on at crufts from the junior handling, agility, gun dog stands etc.

I don't remember that Liebe and I would if I'd seen it because Tim handled a bitch of mine at times... years ago!  Shame not to see him at breed shows these days.

I quite agree Missbeeb as Tim also handled my oldie.  Tim is now busy with South Valley and Shutzhund.
