I am hearing about two "LIVER" coloured GSD that were imported from the USA - into the UK - they have now been mated to each other - big litter expected - and they will be  registered with the KENNEL CLUB "of course"

More detailed information would be appreciated.

ALL INCEST BREEDING - WHICH IS KENNEL CLUB REGISTERED - SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE BBC

The Kennel Club will NOT offer our breed any agreement on Compulsory Health Screening OR a Two Tier KC Registration System based on Breed Health Certification (BHC) Until the pressure on them BREAKS THEIR "MONOPOLISTIC" PRIVATE CLUB ARROGANCE.

The two WUSV Clubs should approach the WUSV with a view to establishing a GSD REGISTRATION SYSTEM with the SV for GSD born in the UK. The Kennel Club having KNOWLEDGE of such exploratory discussions, would send shock waves down (where their spine should be).

I hope you've emailed this to the BBC David?  They can't have too many emails about this.  Maybe they'll get sufficiently interested to do some proper investigating?

Last GSD winner of Crufts was in 1971.

Says it all really.

A pants reply by the BBC

Thank you for your e-mail.

We've suspended coverage of the Crufts dog show in 2009 pending further investigations into the health and well being of pedigree dogs in the UK.  This decision follows the broadcast of the programme Pedigree Dogs Exposed on BBC One in August this year, which identified serious issues affecting the health and welfare of some pedigree dogs.

As the host broadcaster of Crufts, we appointed an independent panel of experts to advise it on future coverage of the event. On receiving the panel's advice, we considered it carefully before discussing the next steps with The Kennel Club. Unfortunately we were not able to reach agreement about how to handle televising the so called 'at-risk' breeds of pedigree dog and therefore we decided to suspend coverage in 2009.

We recognise that the Kennel Club is taking significant steps to address these problems by introducing changes to the breed standards which will be in place from the beginning of 2009 as well as other new health plans which are currently under development. We remain keen to continue discussions with the Club about the effects of these changes. We are also interested in reviewing the findings of the independent report that The Kennel Club co-sponsored with the Dogs Trust in 2009 ahead of possible discussions about the resumption of Crufts coverage in the future.

George Entwistle, Controller BBC Knowledge Commissioning, has said "We know that a lot of people will be disappointed that Crufts will not be on the BBC next year, but we need to be confident the measures being taken now and planned for the future are effective in addressing the issues raised about the health of some pedigree dogs before we return to broadcasting the event."

Please be assured that we have registered your comments on our audience log.  This is the internal report of audience feedback which we compile daily for all programme makers and commissioning executives within the BBC, and also their senior management.  It ensures that your points, and all other comments we receive, are circulated and considered across the BBC.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to contact us.

Regards

I've just had exactly the same email from the BBC.  Shocking, that the best they could come up with is a statement for everyone... it didn't answer any of my questions and I didn't complain about them not filming Crufts, I was quite clear... I didn't care about Crufts coverage!

So... I've sent them another email.  Since we are all obviously going to get the same email, I suggest you all send another email... why should they get off the hook?  It's OUR money that pays for the BBC!!!

I'm having a rant now... what a bloody sauce!  I can't believe they've got the cheek to send us all the same dreary email, just because "Crufts" was mentioned.  I'm so angry!

Yes, i recieved the same mail from the BBC,

A complete waste of time, they do not take nothing on board of what the public ask and tell them

They only go through the motions of doing so

I told them in my mail yesterday, i said perhaps it is a cop out way for the BBC not to carry on hosting the Crufts Dog show and they are doing it just for that reason to get out

Still As some have said

I expect someone will take up the position, and if they do, i hope the BBC does not ever get the chance again of televising the Dog Show, they are a  complete waste of space as far as i am concerned

Steve
