**Crossposted with permission; please pass this info along if possible!** Attention all Dog people out there.  Yesterday 01-20-05 a litter of 12 Bingo vd Abfuhr (2X WUSV competitor) puppies were stolen out of a garage in Escondido California. Escondido is in San Diego County. The puppies are 6 weeks old and are all bi-colored black and tans.  There are no suspects or any solid leads at this time. The breeder is beside himself and will pay a reward to get them back. It would be wonderful if everyone who gets this email will forward it to everyone on their email lists regardless of where they live in the country.  With enough exposure it may help in locating these wonderful puppies that were so carefully bred and raised. It would be great if someone in the press did a story on the theft. Hopefully they are still in the San Diego area and haven't been taken into Mexico. Photos of the puppies for identification purposes are available.   If you have any information that could help please contact the breeder Christian Ellis at 619-279-6343 or John Riboni (Bingo's owner) at wkdog@jps.net PLEASE CROSSPOST EVERYWHERE!!!

I've forwarded this information to all the dog lists I subscribe to and suggest that everyone reading this does the same. Just maybe we can get some information on the whereabouts of these puppies.

Simply awful. Please keep us posted. How is poor mother dog doing? Just terrible for the breeders, I am sure.

Several of my dog friends have crossposted this information and it will be published in a national human society newsletter. One did suggest that, if it's not already done, the breeder should have both sire and dam DNA'd just in case the puppies turn up and there is an ownership dispute. She herself had 2 puppies stolen from her yard, Siberian Huskies, and never did get them back. I can't imagine anything sadder.

Excellent suggestion, Blitzen...will pass it along to the breeder and the stud owner. Given that the litter is already 6 weeks of age, I'd guess that the bitch isn't as frantic as she would have been with younger pups--the fact that someone was able to take the whole litter from the garage would suggest that they were most likely either fully or partially weaned, as I can't imagine somebody risking going into an enclosed area to take 12 puppies when the mother of those pups in right there with them...unless that person was known to the dam, and she wouldn't have challenged their presence... >:^/
