Yeah I thought the same thing....I don't trust the situation. Heather

If you are not going to buy a GSD with european lines i would like to know where you think the dog is from. I know that some of you have been ripped off. However i will say that after what i have read the problem is big overseas as well. My personal opinion is that when you buy a dog you get it in your hand and walk out the door in person. Its a dog and not tupperware.

well I sell alot of dogs that are shipped because people can't get here to pick up the dog. I have never had any problems with any of the transactions, and do have a contract with each pup. But as a breeder I don't feel comfortable with this site...Like DH said it is just a person who knows how to build a site, not a legal firm....and as the breeder what happends if you don't get your funds???you are out a pup and the money for the pup. Hi, We noticed some of you brought up questions about us (PuppyEscrow.com). To answer the first question, JCOM Designs, LCC did progam our website, but we are a seperate company from them called Puppy Escrow, LLC. Our services are for real and it has been a year long process getting the legals straight. To view our full escrow agreement please go to https://www.puppyescrow.com/agreement.asp. Thank you, PuppyEscrow.com

OK, here we go again. WITHOUT doing any substantial evidence, just simply react!!! I called the puppyescrow.com company on their FREE 800# and asked them to come to the database and answer the questions and introduce themselves. I've brought this idea up long ago for the safety of most of us who are or have been 'taken'. Is it so hard to comprehend that there are BENEFITS to something like this and that there are many honest people out there who can provide a service without having it slammed down with so much distrust? http://www.puppyescrow.com/faq.asp I DO want to see that they are bonded and licensed and that needs to be disclosed for how much and with which Insurance company. Only someone with EXCELLENT credit can be bonded and should be handling other peoples money after all.

I've asked this before - why do so many feel they need to import dogs rather than buying them right here in the US? I would think the chances are a lot better of getting the correct paperwork and a decent dog if you can cut a face-to-face deal rather than importing sight unseen from countries where the law is never going to be on the side of the buyer no matter what. If breeders in the US aren't producing quality dogs after all these years, what's going on?

Het wrote "you know I have some amazing dogs that Van Den Heuvel imported for me, and she and her husband are just amazing. They are very honest and on one dog I got the import pedigree befor the dog even got here....very good people would recommend them anytime....and the dogs were exactally what Dari said they were. I am glad that I took the leap of faith with her and her husband." I fully agree with you on Dari and John they are awesome. Three people (plus myself) from my club have dogs bred by her and one of those includes our training director. And another club member had Andy Naspo imported by Dari and he is awesome as well. Everything she said he would be.

Blitzen, I wish you were right! However, what I recently uncovered is that the law is not on our side in the USA either when it comes to dogs... NOR is the AKC 'law' Being this is a pending investigation with the Attorney General office of one of the 50 states, I can not divulge info(yet) as the highly questionable 'breeder' has stolen dogs and yet I can not go and get them, though I have proof!!! One day when this is all done, I, and several others ,will disclose the fraud/crook/scamartist/pathological lier in question here and on our own websites, but, until then, I recommend that each and everyone of us with a decent caring compassionate reasonable bone left in our bodies, follow the advice of DOG1 and the steps I provided above to avoid getting scammed. IF at all possible, GO IN PERSON, but, this country is big, and quite often, the buyer (me too) gets impatient and THAT is where we fail. THERE IS ALWAYS A GOOD DEAL out there, always, and quite often, a better one than the one you had to let go because you got bad vibes from the seller... There are literally are a dime a dozen great dogs out there AT ANY GIVEN TIME which are for sale. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise...
