Thanks for that...  enjoyed the memory lane trip.  Nice to see Sylvia Moore's Junior (Rebroc Davos) in there.  So many kennel names that we no longer here of: Kelnick, Rothick (bred some very good working dogs too), Donzarra's, Lindanvale, Alsahurst, Longvale... the list goes on, what happened to all of them?

Thanks Jean. looking at Eric's photo's brought back some great memories including attending talks by Eric in which he would show his pictures and tell stories about the dogs. Another great character from the past who was always willing to share his knowledge and experience's.

I am SO glad the European breeders never bred out the noble expression our best dogs (and even come of our lesser quality GSD's) cary to this day.

I tried to find a German Shepherd breeder when I lived in the UK in 1972-74. I couldn't find one! All I could find were long-coats (called Alsations) I ended up with a HUGE Doberman who came with a virulent strain of distemper and a heart murmer. I always suspected that dog was mentally retarded, maybe because of the high fever as a puppy.

It is a little-known fact that before I got into schutzhund sport I rescued Dobermans. ;-)
