Any information would be helpful.

wlpool,
As a rule I do not like to give recommendations or discouragments unless I have real solid first hand info. If I put my name behind someone, I want to know first hand or have solid information from someone that I respect that has had first hand knowledge of a person. Having said that I am going to offer what little I know, with only an opinion. Remember this, only an opinion based on conversations.
After talking with Dennis I was comfortable that he knew what he was talking about. He is someone that I would look at more for training if I or someone I knew wanted a good trainer. In other words, I would definately not rule him out. He appeared to me to have good sense about dogs and training and someone that I would appreciate talking with more. I talked to him in behalf of a friend, just as I am doing here.
Spend some time with him, ask good questions, phylosophy's etc. He has worked in LE and this always is a plus to some degree with me. Good luck

I know Dennis and seen and worked many of his dogs. All his dogs are EXTREMELY nice ( Very hard to find better ). He is a very modest guy. He is not going to say he is a greatest trainer that most claim they are, but all his dogs I have seen and worked are the best dogs that I have been around in years.
He is actually traveling to Michigan tomorrow to put a seminar on at my work over the weekend. If you are within a 4-8 hr drive I would suggest you to come to seminar and you will find out everything you are looking for.. first hand!!!

Jeff Rentz is a good, reliable trainer. I was a member of the club he founded in UT before he moved to NC. Easy to deal with, lots of experience, knows how to get a good deal from the dog regardless of it's idiosyncrasies.
He and his wife, Jenny, take excellent care of their personal dogs and I'm sure your Hanz would receive the same care.

Jeff is the first person i call on all my training issues, usually right after training.
