Caliber got his first shot at bite work last Tuesday night. Here's some pics. He just turned 6 months old last Saturday. Wow I can't believe he's already 6 months old! He does his first big boy show at Premier where Chaos took Best of Breed last year on the last day over 19 other GSD's! First long coat in the history of UKC to take BOB at Premier.

Nice pup and pics!  Good luck at the Premier.  I entered too many WDA shows and ran out of $$$ so I only get to watch this time.

So how do you like schutzhund, SW?  Have you been bitten by the bug?  Are you just another schutzhund junkie addict like the rest of us now?  Those are some nice pictures.  It's a lot of fun, isn't it?

Actually, I wouldn't say that I am bitten by the schutzhund bug yet.  I am still very novice to it and I don't really have the resources around here to train like the rest of you.  I am going to try to make it up to train with Jen down from her house 2 or 3 times a month on Tuesdays, as long as the gas prices don't soar!  She's 2 and a half hours away from me.  Caliber will how ever be a very well rounded pup.  So far he's shown in conformation and received Best in Show Puppy over quite a few other dogs.  He's received his VP rating at Sieger.  He has done some schutzhund and some tracking.  I do have someone around here who can help with the tracking so I don't have a really long drive to do that.  His nose is always to the ground when we're outside so I know he will do well in that.  So far I'm just relaxing with him and having a great time enjoying our time together! : - }
